Texeno for schools: everyone writes, the school keeps one account.

A campus plan gives every member of your school Scholar-level access. People sign in with the school email they already have, the school shares one storage pool, and your administrators run it from their own console.

We set schools up ourselves, so there is nothing to buy online.

What your school gets

The plan is built around how a campus works: many people, several groups, and a steady flow of arrivals and departures.

Scholar-level access for members
Everyone who joins through the school works with Scholar-level access. Nobody has to buy a subscription of their own, and nobody has to ask for a budget line.
One shared storage pool
Storage is pooled across the school instead of split person by person. Give a department or a lab its own cap, so one group cannot use up what the others need.
Sign in with the school's own SSO
Members reach Texeno through your school's single sign-on, with the email address they already use there. There is no new password to hand out or reset.
Your domain, proved by DNS
The school shows that it owns its email domain by adding a TXT record to its DNS. It is the same kind of check you may have done when verifying a domain elsewhere.
A notice period when someone leaves
When a person leaves the school, their membership ends after a notice period and they move to the Free plan. We agree the length with you, so a graduating student has time to wrap up or move their work.
Projects are always kept
People keep their own account, and leaving never deletes a project. What someone wrote at your school stays theirs afterwards.
An admin console
Your administrators manage members, groups and domains in one place, read an audit log of what changed and who changed it, and export the member list as a CSV file.

How it works

Three steps, and the first one is ours.

  1. We set the school up

You write to us. We create the school in Texeno, connect its single sign-on and name your first administrators.

  2. The school proves its domain

Your IT team adds a DNS TXT record for the school's email domain. Once it is found, the domain is yours and members can join through it.

  3. People sign in and join

Members sign in with their school email through the school's sign-in page. They land in the school with Scholar-level access and their own account.

Who it is for

  • Researchers

Papers, theses and grant applications in one editor, and co-authors from other universities can still be invited to a project.

  • Lab heads

One place to see who belongs to the lab, a storage cap that keeps the group within its share, and no collecting receipts from students.

  • Librarians and IT

One agreement to manage, a sign-in that follows the school's own rules, and an audit log and member export for when someone asks.

Questions

Do people need a new Texeno account?

No. Everyone has their own account, and it is theirs. Joining the school gives that account Scholar-level access, and leaving the school returns it to the Free plan after the notice period.

What happens to a person's projects when they leave?

They are kept. Leaving the school changes the plan on the account, never the contents of it.

Can we buy this online?

Not yet. We set up each school ourselves, so write to us and we will take it from there.

Want Texeno for your school?

Write to us with the school's name and its email domain. We will reply with what setup involves and who on your side needs to be part of it.
