Texeno for schools: everyone writes, the school keeps one account.

A campus plan gives everyone at your school Scholar-level access. People sign in with their school email and share one storage pool, and your administrators run it from their own console.

We set schools up ourselves, so there is nothing to buy online.

A school's admin console: its email domain is verified, and people who sign in with their school address join the members list and the shared storage pool.

What your school gets

Built for many members, several groups and people joining and leaving.

Scholar-level access for members
Everyone who joins through the school gets Scholar-level access, with no subscription to buy and no budget line to request.
One shared storage pool
Storage is pooled across the school. Give a department or lab its own cap so one group cannot use up the rest.
Sign in with the school's own SSO
Members reach Texeno through your school's single sign-on, with their school email. There is no new password to hand out or reset.
Your domain, proved by DNS
The school proves it owns its email domain with a DNS TXT record.
A notice period when someone leaves
When someone leaves, their membership ends after a notice period we agree with you, and they move to the Free plan. A graduating student has time to finish or move their work.
Projects are always kept
People keep their own account, and leaving never deletes a project.
An admin console
Your administrators manage members, groups and domains, read an audit log of who changed what, and export the member list as CSV.

How it works

Three steps. We do the first.

  1. We set the school up

You write to us. We create the school in Texeno, connect its single sign-on and name your first administrators.

  2. The school proves its domain

Your IT team adds a DNS TXT record for the school's email domain. Once it is found, members can join through that domain.

  3. People sign in and join

Members sign in with their school email on the school's sign-in page, and land in the school with Scholar-level access and their own account.

Who it is for

  • Researchers

Papers, theses and grant applications in one editor. Co-authors from other universities can still be invited.

  • Lab heads

See who belongs to the lab, cap its storage, and stop collecting receipts from students.

  • Librarians and IT

One agreement, a sign-in that follows the school's rules, and an audit log and member export for when someone asks.

Questions

Do people need a new Texeno account?

No. Everyone keeps their own account. Joining the school gives it Scholar-level access; leaving returns it to the Free plan after the notice period.

What happens to a person's projects when they leave?

They are kept. Leaving changes the account's plan, never its contents.

Can we buy this online?

Not yet. We set up each school ourselves, so write to us.

Want Texeno for your school?
