About the Block-style letter template
The block package changes the letter class so that letters use the block style rather than the default layout. The return address, the closing and the signature are all set flush against the left margin. The file doubles as the package's own documentation and is dated 1999, so it describes the macros it overrides, \opening and \closing, and shows how to load it. It is a one-page file and uses scrartcl as its document class.
