This template is for Johns Hopkins University PhD dissertations and MS theses, and can also be used for GBO, DQE or thesis proposals. It follows the Sheridan Libraries electronic thesis and dissertation formatting requirements as of Spring 2026. The title page, copyright page and abstract with the 350-word limit are generated from fields, and the project is split into front matter, chapters and back matter files with a BibTeX dissertation.bib for references.
