Bibby AI vs Texeno, side by side.
Bibby's Pro is $16 a month and Texeno's Scholar is $9. Bibby builds AI into the editor. In Texeno, ChatGPT, Claude or Gemini drafts and fixes your LaTeX in the editor.
The short answer: pick Texeno for a cheaper plan, a compiler you choose and a team plan with its price on the page.
The two at a glance
| Feature | Texeno | Bibby AI |
|---|---|---|
| Paid plan | Scholar: $9 a month or $75 a year | Pro: $16 a month, or $14 a month billed annually |
| Collaboration on the paid plan | Unlimited | Unlimited |
| Track changes and comments |
Reading the table
Bibby's pages do not always agree. One says free users get unlimited compiles, another says 30, and the pricing page says collaboration is not on Free while the home page FAQ says Free includes limited collaboration. We quote the pricing page. Check the plan you want in the editor before you decide.
Texeno's speed figure is our own measurement. We found no compile-speed figure on Bibby's site, so we do not compare speed. Its Overleaf comparison page lists unlimited compiling on Pro and 30 compiles on Free.
Choose Bibby if
- You want the compiler chosen for you from your preamble.
- You need single sign-on through an institution plan.
Choose Texeno if
- You want a lower price: $9 a month against $16.
- You want to choose the compiler yourself, rather than have it switched for you.
- You want track changes and comments on every plan.

Questions
Is Bibby AI free?
Yes, with limits. Its free plan allows 2 projects, 30 compiles and 2 AI completions a month, and does not include collaboration.
Can I move a Bibby project to Texeno?

Try your own paper in Texeno.
Start free, upload a project as a .zip and press Recompile. Upgrade when you need longer compiles.
