Murfy vs Texeno, side by side.
Both include unlimited collaborators, track changes and comments on every plan. Texeno has a lab plan with a published price. Murfy's page gives its Pro compile limit as 5 minutes in one place and unlimited in another, so we make no claim about who compiles longer.
The short answer: pick Texeno for a lab plan with a published price and a priority lane. Murfy's page states its Pro compile limit two ways, so compare that row on its own site.
The two at a glance
| Feature | Texeno | Murfy |
|---|---|---|
| Paid compile limit | 8 minutes | 5 minutes in its table, "unlimited compile timeout" in its Pro feature list |
| Cheapest paid plan | Scholar: $9 a month or $75 a year | Pro: ₩29,000 a month, shown crossed out beside ₩21,750 a month with a 25% saving |
| Collaborators | Unlimited on every plan |
Reading the table
Murfy shows its prices in Korean won, so we show them as it does and do not convert. Where the table says not published, we could not find the answer on murfy.ai, which is not the same as no. Ask Murfy or try the editor before you rely on it.
The free plans are close on the limits that matter most, a 30-second compile and unlimited collaborators. They split on history: 24 hours against 2 days.
Choose Murfy if
- The 5-minute limit in its table is enough for your documents, or its Pro plan really has no limit.
Choose Texeno if
- You run a lab and want a published price you can work out: Lab is from $490 a year, sold in sizes of 10, 25, 50, and 100 members.
- You want to know the engines and TeX Live version you compile with: pdfLaTeX, LaTeX, XeLaTeX and LuaLaTeX on 2026, with older versions to choose from.
Murfy's prices, limits and AI credits are from murfy.ai; its Overleaf import row was checked a day before the rest. Murfy's page does not say whether the ₩21,750 price is for yearly billing, so we do not say so. Check its pricing page before you decide.
